About us
- The company ALFA CZ Překladatelský servis was established in Prague, Czech Republic in 1994, with the aim of providing its customers with the best possible quality translation and interpreting services at attractive prices. We rank amongst translation agencies which focus on complex translation services, i.e. on regular, express, technical or court certified translations and corrections, as well as on consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, for which we also provide interpreting technology. At present the company has 6 in-house employees and a team of over 1000 verified, professional translators, proofreaders and interpreters with university education and several years of experience with translating and interpreting. Today we translate and interpret in approximately 50 language combinations, from foreign languages into Czech and vice versa, as well as directly from one foreign language to another.
- We are constantly monitoring technical developments in the field of translations, intepreting and corrections, and so translation e.g. of technical documents or other texts directly in PDF files or using CAT tools such as the TRADOS program are a matter of course for us. Thanks to this software, the terminology is unified throughout the translation, and it is thus possible to employ a number of translators simultaneously on a single translation, which considerably speeds up the translation process.
- If you have a documentary film or promotional material for your company, we will be happy not only to translate this for you, but also to provide you with subtitles or dubbing.
- During long-term co-operation on translations we offer to create a mini dictionary of your specific company technology in the relevant language. This company dictionary can be updated continuously on the basis of further translations. We can also offer to translate your website directly within your editing system, which subsequently saves you time and financial resources on further processing of the text. We also translate audio and video recordings from CD, DVD and other data carriers.
- We provide proofreading and correction by a native speaker for translations and any of your texts designated for presentation purposes. This correction improves your text primarily stylistically. We also provide proofreading for the accuracy of meaning of outside translations or final pre-printing proofreading of texts designated for printing or internet presentation.
- For over 15 years we have provided consecutive interpreting of training sessions, company presentations or business meetings, as well as conference or simultaneous interpretating of lectures, seminars and international conferences. For simultaneous interpreting we also provide the necessary interpreting technology and for interpreting of your official meetings we secure an appropriate interpreter with court certification.
- Within the framework of the selection proceedings for a contractor for translation or interpreting for your company, we shall be happy to provide you with a short sample translation free of charge.
